Maternity and paternity leave normally do not affect vacation accrual in France. Unpaid leave may reduce vacation accrual depending on the duration.

⚠️ Leave is registered in full days. Weekends and public holidays are not counted.

4. Sick leave

Sick leave can be registered as daily registrations or periods. Registration in hours can be enabled if standard hours are configured.

In France, sick days may initially be covered by the employer, after which national sickness benefits may apply depending on regulations.

⚠️ Weekends and public holidays do not count as sick days.

5. Working hours and time registration

When selecting France, no time registration method is activated automatically.

The administrator must manually choose between:

  • Time registration without hour bank

  • Time registration with hour bank

⚠️ The choice depends on whether working hours are accumulated as a balance or only documented.

Important

  • The standard setup is based on common practice in France.

  • Companies covered by collective agreements or specific internal policies must adjust the policies manually.
