Global message setting for employee and approver

Messages

Should the approver receive a message when an employee:

  • Creates a registration?

Should the employee receive a message when a request:

  • Is approved?

  • Is rejected?

  • Is deleted?

You can enable these messages like this:

  1. Click "Setup admin"

  2. Click "Modules"

  3. Click "Notifications & Rules"

  4. Click "Approver/employee"

  5. From here, you can select this setting

These settings are required for the approver to receive and choose their own notifications.

Settings for Approver

Each approver can choose which messages to receive or not from their approver profile on the web portal and mobile app, so it fits their specific preferences.

Example:

The approver can enable messages for sick leave, but opt out of messages for time registration.

Email to Employees

When a timesheet is approved, the approval usually covers registrations for an entire period.

In this case, it is recommended to disable sending emails for each approved time registration, as otherwise the employee will receive an email for every single approved time registration.

You can find this setting here:

  1. Click "Setup admin"

  2. Click "Modules"

  3. Click "Notifications & Rules"

  4. Click "Approver/employee"

  5. From here, you can set this up

FAQ

As an administrator, can I choose which notifications an approver receives?

No. Only the approver can choose their own notification settings.

The administrator does not have access to change this on behalf of the approver.
