I can register a sick leave period

Your employer decides how sick leave should be registered via BitaBIZ.

Sick Leave Period

If you have the option to register a sick leave period in BitaBIZ, it's because your company has chosen the sick leave registration method Sick Leave Period.

When this method is active, you can register sickness over multiple days in a single registration.

Option to select multiple dates

When the sick leave registration method Sick Leave Period is selected:

  • you can register sickness over several days

  • you can select a period in the future

  • you can register sickness back in time

This means you can choose both the from date and to date when you create a registration.

How to register a sick leave period

To register a sick leave period, do the following:

  1. Create a registration and select Sick from the dropdown menu

  2. Click Register a sick period
    When you click "Register a sick period", the date fields unlock and you can select a period both forward and back in time.

  3. Select the from date and to date

  4. Optionally add a note

  5. Click Save

Your approver will automatically be notified by BitaBIZ via SMS or email when you register as sick.

If you add a note, your approver will also receive this message along with your sick leave notification.


If you only register one day

If you do not select "Register a sick period", you will only register one sick day for today's date:

How can I register a sick day back in time? We have enabled the option to register back in time, but my date fields are locked?

When the option to book a sick leave period is enabled, the date fields are locked to today's date by default.

If you want to register a sick day or sick leave period back in time, you need to click the "Register a sick period" button. This will unlock the date fields, and you can register either a single day or a period back in time.

If you don't see the "Register a sick period" button in your app when you select sick, your company has not enabled this option.
