What is a department in BitaBIZ?
A department is used to organize employees and set up your company's structure. On the Departments page, you can create, edit, delete, and get an overview of all departments.
An employee must be linked to a department in BitaBIZ.
How do I find the Departments page?
Go to Setup Admin → Departments.
Here you’ll see an overview of all created departments.
From this page, you can:
Create a new department (with name, P-number, color, and reference).
Edit existing departments.
Delete departments that are no longer in use.
You can also see who the approver is for a department, and how many employees are linked (number – not names).
Fields when creating a department
Field | What does it mean? | Typical use |
Name | The department’s name | Identification in the system. |
P-number (ID) | Unique code, e.g. cost center or production unit number (P-number in DK) | Used in integrations and financial follow-up. |
Color | The department’s color code | Recommended for better planning and calendar overview. |
Refers to | Parent department | Builds an organizational chart (for display only). |
Best practice
Use the P-number to link the department to a cost center or production unit (P-number).

How do I link an employee to a new department?
Click: Setup admin -> Open the employee’s profile. Click in the "Department" field and select the department you want to link the employee to from the drop-down menu.
If your user management is handled through your Active Directory (AD), new departments are automatically updated to your BitaBIZ account and automatically linked to your employees.
