I can request more vacation days than earned - without pay

Vacation with the option of unpaid leave

If your company allows unpaid vacation, it means that you can take more vacation days than you have accrued – but the additional days will be unpaid.

If unpaid vacation is allowed, you handle it as follows:

How to request vacation

Open BitaBIZ in the mobile app, Outlook app, or web portal.

1. Create a registration

  • Click β€œAdd registration”

  • Select Vacation

2. Select period

  • Enter start and end date.

  • The system automatically calculates the number of days.

The green balance box shows:

  • How many days you have available

  • How many days you are requesting

  • How many days remain after the registration (remaining balance)

Request unpaid vacation

You can request vacation days that you have not yet accrued and take them as unpaid leave (with salary deduction).

The yellow balance box shows:

  • How many days are available

  • How many days you are requesting

  • How many days you are requesting as unpaid

Your vacation statistics

The statistics show how many days you have available in a given month, compared to how many days you have already booked in other months during the year. This helps you plan and book vacation in advance.

The "Available" balance shows how many paid vacation days you can request in a given month.

If you request more days than you have accrued, the number of unpaid days (with salary deduction) will be displayed:

Remaining vacation (Danish policies only)

If your company follows the Danish Holiday Act:

The remaining vacation indicator shows the vacation days you have not yet used and that remain at the end of the vacation year

  • These days can be used until 31/12

  • In the period 1/9 – 31/12, vacation days in the calendar may be:

    • newly accrued vacation

    • or remaining vacation from the previous vacation year
