Rehiring an employee in BitaBIZ
When an employee is rehired, a new profile with a clean calendar must be created for the employee in BitaBIZ.
💁 The employee should not be linked to the old, terminated profile, as it contains data from the previous employment period. Balances and history may be disrupted if two different employment periods are mixed into a single profile.
Below you’ll find instructions on how to create a new employee profile, depending on whether you use automatic user management via Microsoft AD integration or manual user management in BitaBIZ.
Automatic user management
Employee was automatically offboarded (Best practice):
If best practice is followed, your employees are automatically offboarded via your AD integration. If the employee is rehired using the same email and is reconnected to your integration, their old profile will be reactivated.
Do the following:
Manually set the old profile to inactive in BitaBIZ.
Contact BitaBIZ to have the employee’s email removed from the inactive profile.
You can now create a new profile for the employee, either manually or automatically via your AD integration.
Employee was offboarded manually
If the employee was made inactive manually in BitaBIZ, the profile is disconnected from your AD integration and will no longer be synchronized.
Do the following:
Contact BitaBIZ to have the employee’s email removed from the inactive profile.
You can now create a new profile for the employee, either manually or automatically via your AD integration.

Manual user management
If you do not use automatic user management via AD integration and manage employees manually in BitaBIZ
Simply create a new profile for the rehired employee.
