Why does BitaBIZ have a Fair Usage Policy?
The BitaBIZ API can be connected to your subscription and used for integrations, reporting, and data platforms.
The purpose of our Fair Usage Policy is to ensure that the API is used efficiently and appropriately. This helps enable faster integrations, reduces unnecessary data traffic, and provides a stable platform for all customers.
The policy does not restrict normal use of the API, but outlines our recommendations for good integration practices.
General principles
The API can be used freely within the terms of your subscription, but integrations should be designed efficiently and reflect a genuine business need.
Recommended usage
Only sync the data you actually need.
Avoid repeatedly fetching unchanged historical data.
Store employee master data locally where possible.
Follow the recommendations in the 'Integration Design Guide'.
Schedule large synchronizations outside of peak hours whenever possible.
Examples of inappropriate usage
Fetching all employee master data multiple times a day without a business need.
Fetching the entire registration history for many years every day.
Allowing multiple integrations to repeatedly fetch the same data sets.
Sending identical API calls even when the data hasn't changed.
Scheduling large historical data extractions during peak hours when they could be run at other times.
Platform protection
To protect the stability of the platform, BitaBIZ may, if necessary, implement technical mechanisms such as rate limiting, request throttling, pagination, prioritizing requests, or other protective measures.
Customer dialogue
If BitaBIZ detects unusually high or inefficient API usage, we may contact the customer to review the integration and provide recommendations for a more efficient solution.
